Non-Alcoholic Drinks

Megan Bliss

It is getting so hot this summer, time for some fun “mocktails”. These

drinks are fun to make for the whole family. These recipes are all

great for a backyard barbeque or a wedding.

Non-Alcoholic Sangria

1 Cup Orange Juice

1 Cup Lemonade

1 Lime washed and then sliced thin

1 Orange washed and then sliced thin

1 small Gala Apple washed and then sliced thin, or a small peach

1 Cup Apple Juice

4 Cups Cran-grape juice or 4 cups grape juice

4 Cups Sprite or Seltzer Water

In a large pitcher, combine everything EXCEPT the Sparking water or Sprite.

Refrigerate about 3 hours or until cold then add the Cold sparkling water/Sprite.

Add ice to a glass and serve with the fruit in each glass. Serve while still “sparkling”

This serves well from a punch bowl.

Non-Alcoholic Mojitos

1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar

3 Fresh Mint Leaves

1/4 of a lime

½ cup of Ice

8 oz. Sprite or Sparkling Water

Cut the Lime into 8 slices. In a 12 oz. Cup Muddle (smash) the Brown Sugar, Mint

Leaves, and 2 Pieces of Lime. (I use the handle of my wooden spoon.)

When the sugar dissolves and the juice of the Lime is released, and the mint is

smashed. Add the Ice and then the Sprite. Stir and serve.

Tropical Slush

4 Cups HOT Water

4 Cups Sugar

46 oz Pineapple Juice

4 Cups Orange Juice

½ Cup Lemon Juice

5 Smashed Bananas

1 Can (14oz.) Crushed Pineapple with the juice

Combine the Water and Sugar and stir until Sugar is Dissolved. Combine all of the

other ingredients. Divide into 2 Cup zip-lock bags Freeze. When ready to serve

remove the bag from the freezer. Break up while still in the bag. Dump into a 2 -quart

pitcher or punch bowl. Slowly add 2 cups Sprite or 7-Up. Stir and serve immediately.

I have also put this mixture into an ice cube tray to freeze, and when ready to serve add

2-3 ice cubes of the mix into a 12 oz. Cup and add sprite.

Great served with fresh mint leaves.

These are all Gluten Free and Dairy Free.

Enjoy! Jan at the Dairy Keen
